Reactor
Feeling The Love chosen for
LYNX Touch global launch. In an age where ersatz talent is publicly celebrated
and real talent often cruelly ignored, West London rock band Reactor are a
triumph of musicianship and hard work. Their track Feeling The
Love, a steamy Indian-tinged, guitar-driven track, has been chosen as the
music for the LYNX Touch ad which will air on TV and in cinemas the world
over.
When they read on a website that the ad agency was looking for new
music, the band (David OBrien vocals/keys, Ewan OBrien
guitars/vocals, Kevin Browne bass, Evan Jenkins drums)
sent in a demo cd along with thousands of other hopefuls. They then promptly
forgot about it, as you might.
Weeks later when the advertising agency
contacted them and told them they were down to the last 50, they knew the odds
were still stacked against them. On hearing it was between them and one other
band, they finally allowed themselves to become a bit hopeful.
They
admit they still cant really believe it. The ad has just hit our TV and
cinema screens, and Feeling The Love will be the soundtrack to one
of the biggest ever product launch campaigns. North America is up next, the
world after that.
Having supported Reef on a nationwide tour and still
gigging around London, to celebrate their good fortune they have booked
themselves a gig at The Barfly in London on Tuesday 9th March. Tickets are
available direct from the venue.
Reactor have just started to record
their debut album with Kit Woolven at the helm.
